Do It Now

Do It Now

“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too.  A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his way.  I learned a deep respect for one of Goethe’s couplets:

Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it.
Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!”

From W.H. Murray’s The Scottish Himalayan Expedition (1951)

Do it now.

    This is so true. I remember when I was starting out in my business. I was learning a lot and asking a lot of questions, but not taking any actions on what I was learning. I finally got fed up after wasting a year and woke up. When I started to take action my fear disappeared. Before then I was busy trying to plan for everything. I was literally making excuses to my wife and kids that I was working. What a waste of a year?

  2. Jenny Rose says:

    Hi James. I don't think it's a waste of year. You have your own reason. Many people regret but find it right at the end. It depends on how people think.

    I totally agree with this statement. Nothing will happen if you only dream about it, you will not achieve what you dream about if you do not act on it. It's just waiting for the right time to do something to achieve your dream. And once you act on it, do your best to achieve what you wanted to happen.

  5. "Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!” – I totally agree to this statement. This is quite related to the famous adage, "No guts, no glory!"  You need to be very open to experience in order to advance yourself. Start now and stop wasting time thinking about something big without doing anything because big things start from small beginnings.

    Its definiely true. But another truth is that you realize this thing only when you practice it twice or thrice and then you get to know its magic. I otally agree with Jackie "No guts, No glory". Nice aricle.

    @Jack
    I certainly agree but we just need to continue dreaming and eventually we'll get there.

    I agree on that, don't just dream instead make ways the dream to be reality, not tommorow or on other day but NOW!!!!

    You're right Jenny. I also experience that when I was in my younger years. I regret things that I've done but I come to realize that I deserve it cause I learned from it.

    It's hard to always be active and push yourself to the limit, but that's what great people do…they don't plan naturally, they envision, believe and act. Most of the time motivation and always looking for inspiration cases the delay of our actions to do something we want as there will always  be a set of reason for not doing it immidiately. Act now, think now, live the moment…it's hard but if you know you can do, things will be easy.

    Hi Adrianne,
    You have the point there. Once in my life I've dreamed of becoming the best musician in my generation. But the music seems to be hating me. My family don't salute on me. My friends don't support me. So I live in a world of lies. I continued my dreams and finally found someone who appreciated my talent. From that day on, I have my inspiration to become better and successful in life. And so my wife came into my life and my ambition is achieved.
